| Effective Sunday, January 1, 2006, pursuant to an agreement between the Association of
Contracting Plumbers of the City of New York, Inc. and Plumbers Local Union #1, the Fringe Benefits
contribution of forty-six (.46¢) per hour (column 3) designated to the Vacation & Holiday Fund shall be
re-allocated to the National Pension Fund Per Hour (column 4). Thus
re-allocation also reduces the F.I.C.A. payment four cents (.04¢) per hour (column 3).
In addition, the Fringe Benefits contributions designated to the Additional Security Benefits Fund of ninety-two cents .92¢ per hour (column 3) are re-allocated as additional increase to wages of nineteen cents** (.19¢) per hour (column 1) and Fringe Benefits (.25¢ Welfare Fund, .09¢ 401(k) Employer Contribution & .38¢ Vacation & Holiday Fund). The remaining one-cent (.01¢) per hour is to be retained by the Employer to offset the increases F.I.C.A. payment on the additional nineteen cents (.19¢) per hour in wages (See cover sheet for explanation). | UNION ASSESSMENT CHECK-OFF– 3% of Gross Wages paid to employees in the Mechanical Equipment and Service Division shall be deducted from weekly gross wages. Plus five cents (.05¢) per hour for the Political Action Committee Fund. *INDUSTRY ORGANIZING FUND– Ten cents (.10¢) per pay hour shall be dedicated to an Industry Organizing Fund to advance the interests of the Industry. **ADDITIONAL SECURITY BENEFITS FUND - Nineteen cents (.19¢) per hour shall be deducted, after taxes, from weekly wages and sent to a "new" Additional Security Benefits Fund. (All overtime on this .19¢ will be at straight time.) EXPENSE ALLOWANCE FOR PERSONAL SAFETY ITEMS– Twenty-eight cents (.28¢) per hour shall be paid to employees in the Mechanical Equipment and Service Division for each hour worked (work hour), as an expense allowance to provide the funds for his/her personal safety and health related items. Since this is an expense allowance it should be paid separate from wages and it should be paid on the same day and at the same time as wages. OVERTIME– For all work required after the completion of regular or shift work, or on any Saturday, Sunday, Holiday or when an employee is called out of his/her house, the Overtime Rate for Wages will be Time and One-Half (1½). (See Additional Security Benefits Fund Statement Above). All Fringe Benefits and Contributions on overtime work will be at Straight Time. |
