RE: JOB TARGET COMMITTEE PROCEDURES - MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AND SERVICE DIVISION

Dear Contributor,

Please be advised that the Mechanical Equipment and Service ("MES") Division Collective Bargaining Agreement (Effective October 1, 2005 - September 30, 2009) contains a Job Target and Market Recovery Provision (Article XII, Page 26).

The Joint Labor-Management Job Target Committee may grant adjustments to the "MES" Agreement. For example, the Housing Authority may bid a "repair and replacement" job. The "MES" rates would normally not apply to a contractor signed with Local #1 since the site is not engaged in "business for profit." Now, signatory contractors may use the Job Target Procedures so that they can bid "MES" Division agency work using "MES" Division wages and fringe benefits.

Contractors wishing to "target" jobs under the "MES" Division Agreement should use the same Procedures and Form presently used for the "A" Division and available on the Association's web site under "Laborgrams - Job Target and Market Recovery Program."

If you have any questions, please call this office.
